Having spent many hours on the Allen farm when I was young, I grew to appreciate Bill as a humble and polite man. His years farming suited him well and his dedication to the Ingersoll Pipe Band is something we will all remember with warm hearts. From my family to Ted, Karen, Russell and their families, we send our condolences.

Our family would like to send our condolences to Bill's family. Whether it was helping dad get the hay in on more than one occasion or helping him load scrap metal and take it for sale, Bill was always there when we needed him. We also appreciate all the times Bill would come and visit with Dad when he was unwell. He really enjoyed those visits. Bill was a important member of the pipe band for 55 years and we have all marched many a mile to the beat of his drum.

Bill was a quiet spoken man. I had the fortune of attending Dunn's Public School with Bill and then much later in life being part of the Ingersoll Pipe Band with him. He was always part of the Dunn's community and will be missed.

We are saddened with the loss of Bill. He was an all round nice guy always willing to help where he could. His 50 plus years as a valued member of the Ingersoll Pipe Band speaks volumes of his dedication to the band. Bill was a Tenor and Bass drummer with the band and we will miss him dearly. Memories as young boy to an to a mature gentleman are scattered amongst the pictures on the walls of our Hall and will allow us to keep him in our memories as a long time dedicated member. We played a tune in his honor at last night's practice.
Rest in Peace Bill.
