It is with great sadness that the family of Wayne Gordon Campbell announces his passing in the early morning of Tuesday, March 5th at Woodstock Hospital at the age of 75. Wayne will be lovingly remembered by his wife Ann (Howlett) of 25 years, and his children Breck Campbell (Jennifer Palmer), Jennifer Campbell (Derek Lewis) of London, Graham Campbell of Vancouver B.C., step-daughter Jennifer Edgar (Ken) of Paris. Beloved grandfather of Aubrey and Adelaide Campbell, Tobias, and Amelia Edgar. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Gladys Campbell of Mt. Elgin., brother Lorne Campbell and sister Dianne Seymour, and sadly, missed by several nieces and nephews. During his whole working career, Wayne’s community involvement was significant, including a term of office on Ingersoll town council, Jaycees, Kiwanis, Rotary, Past President of Ingersoll Chamber of Commerce, and Co-Chairing the first annual Relay for Life in Ingersoll. He was a well-respected member and Past President of the Woodstock-Ingersoll & District Real Estate Board, having become a broker in 1981, and in 2018 was recognized for 40 years of service. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Karen Fryer, Dr. Jit Sondhi, Diane Murray, and the many wonderful, caring nurses in the palliative care unit in Woodstock General Hospital. Cremation has taken place and family and friends are invited to join in a Celebration of Wayne’s Life on Saturday March 23rd, 2019, 1-4 pm at The Elm Hurst Inn, 415 Harris Street, Ingersoll. Wayne’s wishes were that in lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Woodstock General Hospital or Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll.
