Peacefully at Orchard Villa, Pickering on January 20, 2019 after a short illness at the age of 97 years.  Beloved husband of the late Mary, step-father to Bruce and his wife Susan, dear dido of Brian and Stephen (Yuki) and great-grandfather of Tomoya and Marika in Japan.  Remembered by his many nieces, nephew, great nieces, nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his six sisters and his brother.  Walter may be remembered from his many occupations over his long life, including farmer, miner, shoe repair shop owner, jeweller and rockhound enthusiast.  Friends may call at McBeath–Dynes Funeral Home, 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll, ON (519-425-1600) on Saturday, January 26th from 9:30 a.m. until the service at 10:30 a.m.  Interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Ingersoll will follow the service.  Donations to Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church would be appreciated by the family.
