Obituary for Thomas Henry THORNE
February 11, 1949- March 11, 2018
Of Thamesford, passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 11, 2018 after spending twelve weeks in University Hospital, London.
Beloved husband and friend to Lynn (Zurbrigg). Loved and greatly missed by Craig, Lisa, Morgan, and Alyssa Thorne. Survived by sisters Florence McDowell, Marion MacDonald, Jean MacGinnis (Bill) and brother John (Linda), sisters-in-law Marilyn Thorne, Hope Lowe, and Peggy Hugill, and several nieces and nephews.
Tom was born in Ingersoll to the late Thomas and Verlin Thorne. Predeceased by brothers Frank, Jim, Bob, and sisters Evelyn and Jean Elizabeth.
His courage, strength, and sense of humour shone through during his hospital stay and following his February 13th surgery. His love of maps and travel brochures existed before his work at Canadian Automobile Association in London.
Special thanks to the many doctors and nurses on 6th floor, CCU, and ICU University Hospital for all the care he received.
Friends will be received at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll Thursday 5-8 pm. The funeral service will be at the funeral home on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 2pm, cremation to follow.
