Obituary for Terry Gough

Terrence Wallace Gough passed away suddenly at home on October 20, 2022, in his 69th year. Terry of Ingersoll, formerly of Sweaburg, Barrie and Oro Township, was predeceased (2016) by his beloved wife Karen, son Jeffery and parents Wallace and Elda Gough. Dear father of Melissa (Jordan), Jennifer (Thane), Amy (Eli), Krista (Jon), Jordan and Devon. Loving and devoted grandfather of Isaak, Leia, Elliot, Aya, Jefferson James, Ophelia, Lauren and Emery. Survived by brother Ross (Mary Anne) Gough and sister Janice (Dave) Connelly.

Terry spent his working years exploring many entrepreneurial avenues including, farming, auctioneering, trucking logistics and coffee. But there was nothing he loved more than the farm. Terry was raised in a farming family and went on to run his own family dairy farm for a number of years. Even after leaving the farm his love for tractors and cows never faded. Members of the Sweaburg and Ingersoll communities would often see Terry out for a slow ride on one of his Massey Ferguson or John Deere tractors and quite often he would have a trailer hooked up with many of his beloved grandkids in tow. Terry loved all things antique and spent much time collecting tractor and cow figurines as well as unique coffee grinders. Terry was also a beloved and devoted Rotarian with the local Ingersoll club. He always looked forward to delivering the Rotary roses or driving his tractor in the Santa Claus parade.

Terry loved his family and his community, and he will be deeply missed by many. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home, 246 Thames St. South, Ingersoll, ON.
