Peacefully at VON Sakura House on Saturday March 10, 2018, Sidney David “Dave” Ellis of Ingersoll in his 82nd year. Beloved husband and best friend of Marion (Currie) for over 60 years. Dear father of Rick and Kathy Ellis of Ingersoll and Sue and Ivor Mann of Tillsonburg. Cherished grandfather of Kevin and Jamie of Ilderton and Lauren and Joe of Woodstock. Loving great grandfather of Reid and Graham. Dear brother-in-law of Dorothy Baskette (late Jake), Bob Cowell (late Madeline), Doug and Doreen Nash, Barbara Currie and Jim Currie. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Sid and Lascelles Ellis of Beachville and his brother Donald. Dave was a dedicated employee of Ingersoll Paper Box for 37 years prior to his retirement in 1998. He was an avid fisherman, golfer and gardener and loved spending time at Long Point. Friends will be received at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home, 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll on Wednesday March 14, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday March 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place in the spring.
