Ruth Elizabeth (Longfield) Brown left this life on March 27, 2020, born May 18, 1923.
Predeceased by her husband, Erwin Hutchison Brown who died November 1996 and her son James, September 1954. Survived by her children, Anne (Colin), Margaret (Edward), Tom (Julie), David (Brenda), Andrew (Christine), her grandchildren: Jim, Kim, Meredith, Catherine, Helen, Michael, John, Elizabeth, Rebecca, William, Amelia, Ethan, Hannah, Mariah, Morgan and eleven great grandchildren: Cole, Max, Teddy, Maria, Sylvia, Julien, Kassia, Zoe, Landon, Georgia, Levi.
Our mother will be missed for her devotion to her family, her genuine interest and concern for those she encountered on this path of life. We remember her with great affection and admiration. She was strong in spirit with a deep faith. Ruth shared her gifts of connection and compassion with her family, her church family and in community and historical organizations to which she contributed.
She will be remembered in a private family service on Monday, March 30, 2020.
A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date due to circumstances.
We thank the staff and care providers at Terrace Lodge for their loving care to her over these past years. She was loved by all who knew her.
