Peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, on Wednesday, 15 March 2017, Ruth Isabella Adam at Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock, Ontario.  She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Annette (Hughes) Berdan; her siblings, Jim (Isabell) Berdan, sisters Edna (Norval) Foster and Martha (Roy) Hoover; her beloved husband Ralph Adam; and her cherished daughter Diana Lynn Holbrook.  Ruth is survived by her son Gordon (Pat) of Ingersoll, daughter Bonita (Robert) Magill of London, and daughter Donna (Jerry) McGinnis of Ingersoll, many nieces and nephews and cousin Patricia (Roy) Jennings of St. Thomas.  She was the proud grandmother of Karen (Byron) Stoyles of Peterborough, Kathy (Chris) Spencer of Ingersoll, Lisa Magill and Rex Harvey of Toronto, Laura Magill and Scott Barnwell of London, Justin McGinnis and Cerise Kirkham of Brantford, Brian McGinnis and Christine Turner of Toronto, Eric Holbrook and Jen Byway of Ingersoll and Adam Holbrook and Tasha Grant of Thorsby, Alberta.  Ruth was blessed with several great-grandchildren; Lauren, Kaelyn and Claire Stoyles, Kenneth and Matthew Spencer, Zoe and Henry McGinnis and Cole and Brooklyn Holbrook.  She was a life- long member of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church in Ingersoll and will be fondly remembered by many friends there.
Family members would like to express their sincere appreciation to all the staff at Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock, for their attentive and compassionate care of Ruth during her stay there.
Friends will be received at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home, 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll on Sunday March 19, from 12-2p.m. with the funeral service at 2p.m.
