Obituary for Ruby Marie SHRUBSOLE (Mills Quinn)
Peacefully with her devoted daughters Jeannine (Quinn) and Joanne (John) Glassford by her side, Ruby passed away on July 26th, 2016 at Arbor Trace Special Care Centre, London, Ontario. Loving and proud grandmother to Lauren (Ian), Lindsay, and Danielle. Proud great-grandmother to Hannah.
Lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews, and Gary and Marie Caslick. Predeceased by her husband Gordon Quinn (1979) and Floyd Shrubsole (2011). She will be lovingly remembered and held dear in the hearts of her family and friends.
Ruby was born and raised in Tillsonburg, Ontario. She moved to London in 1953. She worked at CIBC, Lawson & Jones, Timberjack, and Gardner Denver before retiring early in 1983.
She moved to Salford, Ontario in 1961 where she lived on the farm until 2007. She and her husband Floyd then moved to Woodstock where they lived until 2011. Ruby loved her family, gardening, and spending time with close friends. She will be lovingly remembered for her kindness, compassion, and generosity. She was extremely proud of her 2 daughters and granddaughters and their accomplishments.
Friends will be received at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home, 246 Thames Street S. Ingersoll, Thursday 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 29th, 2016 at 11am at the funeral home.
Private Family interment at Harris Street Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Skin Cancer Society.
