KIRBY, Roy Thomas
Peacefully, and as gentle as he was, at Woodstock Hospital on Monday, April 20, 2020, Roy passed away at age 92.
Loving father of Mark (Vera) of Drumbo, Nathan, Josh, and Erin; Mitch (Karen) of Foldens, Max, Paul, and Steve; Janis (Dennis McCutchen) of Sweaburg, Jenny, Mike, and Susie; Max (Line Beaugrand) of Thamesford, Courtney, Ashleigh, Megan, Chelsea. Predeceased by his wife and euchre partner Doreen (2013), sister Ena Cordingley (Bing), Parents Richard and Gwendolen Kirby. Fondly remembered by his sister Vera Papp, sister-in-law Coyla Spratt, 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Roy loved living on his farm at Foldens for over 66 years, and loved visits with family, driving his Model A Ford and playing euchre as much as he could. He was an active guy even at 92 - no grass growing under his feet because if it did he got his lawnmower out.
A heartfelt thank you to the medical staff at Woodstock Hospital for their compassionate care of Roy on several occasions.
A private burial took place at Harris Street Cemetery on April 24, 2020.
