Obituary for Bob Hugill

Robert Carl Hugill September 25, 1936 - February 27, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Robert Hugill on February 27, 2022 at 85 years of age.
He will be dearly missed by Doreen, his beloved wife of 64 years, his daughter Cheryl (Harry Kozak) and son-in-law Duane Paton (Heather). Proud Grandpa to Allison (Jody), Clark (Whitney), Blair (Jill), Josh and Luke; Step-Grandpa to Shane (Kathy) and Ginger (Danny); and Great Grandpa to Reid, Owen, Cole, Esme, Alexis, and Carl.
Pre-deceased by his parents Carl (1967) and Jean (2005), beloved daughter Susan (1995) and infant grandson Blake (1981).
An only child, Bob had a special relationship with his many Garner first cousins, particularly Wayne Rowan who was a frequent visitor at the Hugill family farm.
Bob cared deeply for his family, his many friends, his lodge brothers, and his community. He was a Master of Dereham Lodge 624, a District Deputy Grand Master, a member of the Woodstock Scottish Right where he was a 33-degree Mason, a member of the Tillsonburg Shrine Club and life-long member of the First Baptist Church in Ingersoll.
After retirement from dairy farming, Bob and Doreen enjoyed many wonderful vacations with Janette and Dennis Irwin traveling throughout Europe and Australia. Bob also kept busy visiting family and friends, driving motorcoach, playing cards, reading, and serving his community.
To know Bob was to love him. Always friendly, caring, kind, quick-witted, humble. Deeply respected for his integrity, compassion, and reliability. He will be dearly missed but forever in our hearts. Friends will be received at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll Friday 2-4 pm. The complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday March 5, 2022 at 11am with Reverend Trevor Whittingham officiating. Spring interment will be at Ingersoll Rural Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Alexandra Hospital or Ingersoll First Baptist Church would be appreciated by the family.
