Peacefully with family and friends by his side at Woodstock Hospital on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, Mel Chivers of Woodstock and formerly of Ingersoll in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Dorothy (Ward) Chivers for 66 years. Loving father of Doug (Deb) and Ken (Debbie). Cherished Grandpa of Nicole, Kenny, Tyler, Brad, Shane and families. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home, 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll on Friday from 6-8pm. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 2pm with Pastor Ken Charlton officiating. Spring interment will be in Ingersoll Rural Cemetery. Donations may be made in Mel’s memory to the Woodstock Hospital or charity of choice.
