Obituary for Phil Hodgson
Hodgson, Philip James (Phil)
On Sunday January 8th, after a short but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, Phil passed away peacefully at home holding Alice’s hand. Phil’s wish was to pass at home.
He leaves behind his wife and best friend Alice Dodds Hodgson. His children Chad (Heather), Cheri and his 3 grandsons Nathaniel, Bennett, and Devin. Dear brother of Janet (Don), Rick (Louise) and Linda. Predeceased by his parents Harold and Lille, his brother David (Judy) his sister Marylin (Jim) and sister-in-law Hilda. Brother-in-law to Marian (Mike), Deirdre, Fran (Gary), Sean (Luisa) & Anthony.
Phil was so very proud of his beautiful nieces and nephews and entire family.
He loved the outdoors. Hunting and fishing was his passion. In fact, the day after his diagnosis, Phil got himself an 8-point Buck. Special thanks to our wonderful neighbours, Warren Shelton and his son Jessie for helping Phil harvest his “last buck”!
Phil loved all his friends and cherished every hunting trip, up north excursions, and adventures.
Friends will be received at McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home Monday, January 16, 2023 from 11-11:45 am with a Memorial Service at 12 noon.
Memorial donations to Sakura House would be appreciated.
