Obituary for Olly Hernandez
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Olive “Olly” Hernandez. On January 4, 2023 surrounded by her family at Alexandra Hospital in her 94th year.
Forever missed by her son Jim (Tracy) Hernandez. Dear Nana to Jakob Benko and Alyssa Hernandez. Survived by her sister Audrey Leask. Predeceased by her parents Dorothy and William Hill, and her siblings, Dorothy “Dot”, Bill, Mike, Geoffrey, and Phyllis and special long time friend Neil McDonald. Remembered and cherished by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Olly’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Wohlgemut and all the nursing staff at Alexandra Hospital for their amazing care and support. As well as to the Ingersoll Services for Seniors and their PSW’s who have offered great care for Olly throughout her journey.
Olly was a lifelong resident of Ingersoll. She was an active member at The Legion and the Ingersoll Senior Centre. She spent the majority of her life at Bordon’s where she retired. She will be missed by everyone that knew her.
Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place at Ingersoll Rural Cemetery on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Following, a celebration of Olly’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 119 between 11:30 am - 3:00 pm.
