Obituary for Mint KLYNSTRA

KLYNSTRA, Mint – Mint Klynstra in his 86th year went on quietly to be with His Lord at his home in Salford on April 17th, 2018.  Loving husband of Alberdina “Dina” Klynstra (nee Schuurs) and father of Dorothy Klynstra, Joanne (Jeffrey) Quinn of Embro, and David (Catherine) Klynstra of Stratford.  Pleased Pake to Benjamin (Melissa), Joshua, Janessa, Kamaria, Abigail, Makayla and Zachary Quinn, Meredith, Catherine “Cassie” and Josiah Klynstra and Phahon “Buddy” Yodyong of Thailand.  Great Grandfather of Zoey and Noah.  Also survived by 3 sisters in Holland and predeceased by 1 sister and 2 brothers.  Mint immigrated to Canada in 1953.  Mint and Dina married at Emmanuel Reformed Church in Woodstock in 1960.  An avid dairy farmer and cash cropper in South West Oxford he retired to raise beef.  He volunteered with the Ingersoll Food Bank, curled with the Ingersoll Curling Club and played Friesian handball.  He attended Hi Way Pentecostal Church, 584118 Beachville Rd., Ingersoll, where the visitation will be held Saturday, April 21, 2018 after 3pm.  The complete funeral service will be held in the sanctuary at 4pm.    In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Youth for Christ-Ingersoll, Youth With a Mission, or charity of one’s choice would be appreciated and may be made through the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home, 519-425-1600.   Many thanks to family, friends, neighbours, and health professionals who have supported Mint during his life.
