Obituary for Mary Margaret PORTER (Stevenson)
PORTER, Mary March 13, 1922 – November 5 2020
It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Mary Porter in her 99th year at her long-term care facility, Fairhaven, in Peterborough, ON.
Mother of Dave Porter, and daughter-in-law Sheila Porter. Grandmother to Jay Porter and Tamara (Porter) McKinnon, Jay McKinnon (spouse to Tamara) Great grandmother to Hayden and Allie. She will be missed by all who loved her.
She was a retiree from DE Haviland Aircraft and her favourite pastime was singing with the Toronto Accolades for many years. Another favourite was spending time at Porter cottage on Stoney Lake. As well as a doting Grandma (GP as the kids called her), she was thrilled to be a Great-grandmother.
A private family service will be held November 14, 2020.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll 519-425-1600. There will be no visitation.
