Obituary for Marjorie Elizabeth (‘Betty’ Budd) Mayberry
March 1, 1923 – March 31, 2015
Surrounded by four generations of her family, Elizabeth passed away at Woodstock General Hospital. Elizabeth was the loved and loving wife of the late R. Glen Mayberry, daughter of the late Gladys (Uren) and W.W. (Pete) Budd. Loving, proud and grateful mother of Tom (Sylvia), Bill (Marie), Jane, Bob (Bev), David (Kathryn), Ann (Dave) and Barbara (Rob). Proud and loving sister of Bill Budd (Reta) and Ruth Town (the late Monte). Elizabeth was the devoted god-mother to Jill Elizabeth Town and the delighted grandmother to 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Mom felt that her “glory was she had such friends” and she cherished many younger friends whom she called “the children of her heart”. (They know who they are and, hopefully, how much her life was blessed and enriched by their presence.) A remembrance of Elizabeth’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. from the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll to be followed by a social time with interment at Harris Street Cemetery. If anyone wishes to, donations may be made in her memory to the Ingamo Family Homes in Woodstock where Elizabeth spent so many happy hours with her friends, or to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank.
