Obituary

PETTIT, Marie Louise (nee Swift) (February 26, 1933 - October 3, 2019).

It is with sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandma and friend, Marie Pettit. She passed away peacefully in Ingersoll, Ontario. She joins her husband, Maxwell, brothers, Don and Wilf, and sister, Joanne Swift, in heaven.

Marie was born in St. Thomas and worked as a switchboard operator and technician with Bell and then Northern Telecom in London until her retirement.

She was kind and thoughtful towards everyone. Marie enjoyed travelling and met up with friends and family on visits across Canada, the US, England and Europe.

She will be greatly missed by her son, Mark (Karen), grandson Byron, brother Jack Swift, and many other family and friends.

Family and friends will be received at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 10-10:45am with a funeral service at 11am with Reverend Tracy Crick-Butler officiating.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Diabetes would be appreciated.

The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to the staff of Secord Trails for the excellent care provided prior to her passing on and to Della Foley for her friendship.

Personal condolences may be sent at www.mcbeathdynes.ca
