Peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at Woodstock Hospital on March 9, 2016, in her 95th year. Beloved wife of Guerino for 74 years. Loving mother of John (Betty) of Thamesford and George of Ingersoll. Proud grandmother of Paul (Kathryn) of Glen Morris and Melanie (Rob) of Ingersoll. Cherished great grandmother of Dana and Abbie Belore of Ingersoll. Also survived by brothers Sante (Antonietta), Luigi (Elvira) all of Italy and Silverio (Silvana) Papais of Ingersoll. Sister-in-law of Elizabeth Papais of Italy. Predeceased by her brother Carmelo and sisters Carmela and Luigia. She will always be remembered for her large garden and beautiful flowers which she grew many of the plants herself. Maria and her husband Guerino also supplied the Columbo Club in Beachville with all the flowers, radicchio, and endive for their Veterans Remembrance Service for many years. Friends will be received at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll Friday from 2-4. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church 131 Thames Street North, Ingersoll on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 10:30am Fr. Gilbert Simard presider. Spring interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Memorial donations to Alexandra Hospital Foundation (cheques accepted) would be appreciated.
