WESSENGER, Margaret Jean
Surrounded by the love of her two daughters, Margaret Jean Wessenger passed away at her home at Maple View Terrace, 5 days after celebrating her 99th birthday.
Beloved wife of Fred (2005). Loving Mom to Lynne (Bruce) Taylor and Anne (Arnie) Spivey. Missed by her grandchildren – Shawn (Marnie), Peter, Martin (Tania), Harmony (Wilson) and Nathan (Christine) and great-grandchildren (Cameron, Mitchell, Charlize, Alexander, Arianna, Abraham, Abby, Ella and Tucker. Also remembered by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Helen Sivyer and son-in-law Cal Stewart.
She will be remembered for her love of flowers, knitting baby sweaters, looking at the night sky, nibbling on chocolate and collecting recipes. She was always interested in what her family, especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren were doing.
She taught us many lessons about aging graciously. She was not a complainer and never wanted to “be a bother.” She enjoyed telephone calls, doing the Word Search in the newspaper and hanging her many art pictures on her wall which her great-grandchildren would draw and send to her. We will miss you, Mom!
Donations in memory of Margaret can be made to Trinity United Church, Ingersoll or the Ausable-Bayfield Morrison Dam Trail Fund.
