Obituary for Margaret Iris PARKES
PARKES, Margaret Iris Passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, in her 77th year. Beloved wife of the late Preston Parkes.
Dear mother of Tony Parkes (Alicia McPhee). Loving grandmother of Georgian and Mat Parkes. Cherished sister of Raymond Sambrooks (Pauline Jackson). Margaret will be missed by her niece and nephew, Nicole, and Christopher Sambrooks.
Margaret worked for many years at London Psychiatric Hospital and Victoria Hospital. In her retirement, she was heavily involved with the Ingersoll Senior Centre, and enjoyed fitness classes, crafting, and bell-ringing. She was a lifelong avid gardener.
As per Margaret's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at 1PM on Saturday, June 15th at the Ingersoll Senior Centre 250 Ingersoll Street, Ingersoll.
