Obituary for Margaret Bell HUNT (McIntosh)

Hunt, Margaret Bell (nee McIntosh)

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our gracious mother, Margaret Bell Hunt, on May 6th, 2022, just shy of her 96th birthday. Beloved and steadfast wife of the late Dr. B.R. Hunt and cherished and devoted mother to Jeffrey (Lisa) Rossland, Craig (Vickie) London, Julie (Shanghai), Andrew (Louise) Sudbury, and Allison (Singapore); caring grandmother to Isaiah (Andrew), Aislynn (Jeff), Mateo (Julie), and Christian (Allison); and much loved by her nieces and nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Rudisuela.

Margaret worked at Western Business School, 3M, and Fanshawe College where she was admired for her competence and congeniality. She straddled changing eras with equanimity. While always elegant, she displayed a schoolgirl charm that was both youthful and playful.

Our mom was the comet you observe in a clear night’s sky - bewildered by its beauty and in awe of its majesty. Her brightness and radiance guided us and lit the way for us throughout our lives. Her culinary skills fortified us. Her laugh and sense of humour, accompanied by tremendous insight and advice, gave us perspective. But it was her enduring, unconditional love to the very end, that has sustained us.

The Hunt Family is grateful for the exceptional and compassionate care provided at University Hospital, London, 7th floor, neurology unit.

A memorial service will take place at Trinity United Church, Ingersoll, on May 13, 2022 at 1 pm. A reception following will be held at Elmhurst Inn.

Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll 519-425-1600.

Personal condolences may be posted at www.mcbeathdynes.ca.

Beyond the sunset.
