Obituary for Margaret Ann "Peg" CAFFYN
Passed away Peacefully on Tuesday November 1, 2016 at Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll. Peg Caffyn of Ingersoll in her 81st year.
Dear sister of Eunice and husband Bob Dalton of Embro. She will be remembered by her nieces Sarah & husband Peter VanBoekel and their children Emily and Andrew of RR#1 Bright and Erica & husband J.P. Bacon and their children Jordan, Genevieve and Remi of Harrow.
Predeceased by her parents Leonard Alfred Caffyn and Kathleen Eunice Murr and by her brother David Caffyn.
Peg was very active in area politics most notably in South West Oxford Township where she served as Councilor and then as Mayor. Peg was a teacher in the Ingersoll and Woodstock area for many years and retired as Principal of Norwich District High School. Peg was always very active in many community events, committees and organizations over the years.
Relatives and friends may call for memorial visitation at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll Friday from 3:30-5 and 7-9 pm. The Memorial Service will be conducted at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Ingersoll on Saturday November 5, 2016 at 11:00am. Rev. Bill Mayoros officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Peg’s memory to the Alexandra Hospital Foundation (cheques accepted) would be appreciated.
