Obituary for Leonor Maria EVANS (Velasco)
EVANS, LEONOR July 1, 1934 – April 6, 2020
Passed into the spirit world at People Care, Tavistock on Monday April 6, 2020 in her 86th year. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her loving husband of 40 years Albert Evans. Loving mother of Malcolm (Virginia), and Mark (Teresa). Grandmother to Micheal (Lisa), Christine (Mike), and Julie (Eivind). Great grandmother to Matthew, Alicia, Katelyn, Mason, and Louis. Dear sister of Pepe (Yolanda) Velasco, and Joaquim (Lucia) Velasco. Many nieces, nephews, and dear friends will sadly miss her. Predeceased by her parents Pedro and Victoria (Alcocer) Velasco, Consuelo (Luis) Murillo, and Sergio (Ofelia) Velasco.
Leonor was an employee of Essex Wire, and Ingersoll Cheese Company until its closing. She loved to crochet, garden, and make amazing meals. Later in life she loved to go on nature walks with her special friend Jack Janssen. She loved to travel and had seen many amazing places. She loved her family and friends very deeply and loved the life she was blessed with. She was very friendly and lovable to all she had met.
There will be no visitation. A Private family service was held at Sacred Heart Cemetery. A Celebration of life will be held later.
Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association may be made through the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home.
