Laura was born June 8th, 1926 in Casier, Italy. She made the long voyage by boat to Canada in 1955 with her two young children by her side to join the love of her life Giordano who had come ahead to set up a new life for them in Canada. Laura spent the next 69 years living in Ingersoll and surrounding area. Laura loved her family dearly. She was an amazing mother, kind, generous, caring, affectionate, feisty till the end woman. Laura was a fabulous cook, and no one went hungry when she was around. Laura enjoyed the simple things in life, she loved to sit outside and enjoy the sun, fresh air, the flowers and watch the birds.

You lived a great life, we know how you so badly wanted to make it to celebrate your 100th birthday, you came close, you overcame a lot of health issues this past year, but until then you were the Mama and Nonna full of spunk until then end that we will remember and always have in our hearts.

Special thanks to Dr. Woghlmut, Dr. Collins, nurses Tanya, Jen, Lisa and all the staff on third floor Alexandria Hospital. Also thank you to the PSW’s who helped Mama this past year so she could remain at home.
