Obituary for Kevan Ann PROULX

Peacefully after an all too brief struggle with glioblastoma, on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at her home in Ingersoll and surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of 40 years to Randy, mother to daughters Jaymin and Erin (Leferman), mother-in-law to George Leferman, cherished Nana to Adrina and sister-in-law to Chris and Barbara Proulx. Kevan will also be mourned by the three latest feline members of the Proulx household: sisters Annie, Bella and Cindy. A lifelong figure skater,  Kevan was also a master coach who passed on her passion to countless individuals, including her daughters, the joy of standing on two thin metal blades, gliding across the ice and carving a sharp edge. Daughter of the late James and Dorothy Coulter, Kevan grew up in Windsor, moved to London where she taught family studies and settled in Ingersoll. An accomplished skier and former scuba diver, the Proulx home was made all the more beautiful by Kevan’s love of quilting, growing orchids and collecting fine china. Funeral arrangements entrusted to  McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home, 246 Thames St. S., Ingersoll with internment at a later date. Donations to a charity of your choice or to a local humane society.
“You’re my bread when I’m hungry
You’re my shelter from troubled winds
You’re my anchor in life’s ocean
But most of all you’re my best friend.”
