Obituary for J. Paul Rivest

RIVEST, J. Paul

Peacefully at home with family by his side on Monday September 18, 2023, in his 84th year.

Beloved husband of Genevieve (Marentette) for 62 years. Father of Bob (Vicki) Rivest of Ingersoll, Elaine Nocent (Dennis) of Belle River, late Deacon Dennis Rivest (2022) (Cathy) of London, Sharron Carr of Amherstburg, and Paul Rivest (Caroline) of Komoka. Grandpa of Jessie Rivest (Liam), Allie Rivest (Michael), Christopher Nocent (Taylor), Ryan Nocent, Christina Barber (Steven), Danielle Durand (Nathan), Taylor Carr, Caden Rivest (Lauren), and Lauren Rivest. Brother of Veronica Granger (late Eugene), Yvonne Prudence (Ronald), Fred Rivest (Yvette), and Florence Rivest. Also survived by brother-in law, sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

J. Paul is a retired employee of Chrysler Canada, Honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th degrees. He enjoyed hunting and bowling. Cremation has taken place.

A memorial mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church 1688 County Rd 46 Woodslee on Monday September 25, 2023 at 11am.

Memorial donations to the London Health Sciences Centre Cancer Clinic would be appreciated.
