Fortunately, with all that the horrible disease took from him, it left him with his memories of his family, always greeting us with his hand out and a smile, always finding comfort with Esther.

Beloved husband of Esther Vann (nee Groom) for 64 years. Loving father of Michael (Mary) Vann, Susan (David) Grant, and Peter Vann (Lorraine Smith). Born in Potten, raised in Biggleswade England, Jack emigrated to Canada at age 15 with his family, settling in Ingersoll. Soon afterward, he met his life long partner, Esther and spent the next 70 years by her side.

He shared his love of camping and travel with his family with many shared trips. With Esther he travelled throughout Canada and the Eastern U.S. in their Roadtrek.

He was an avid sportsman from his teens into his 80's playing with the Woodstock Cricket Club, Woodstock Badminton Club, pickleball, tennis, golf and riding his bike.
