Obituary for John COOK
Cook, John Richard “Cookie” – Passed away peacefully at Victoria Hospital, London, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at the age of 77.
Beloved husband of Anna Cook (nee Shipston) for 34 years. Loving father of Brenda (Russell) Morgan, Joe (Sue) Cook, and Melissa Minard. Survived by his sisters Audrey Shelton and Susan Cook, Father-in-law Don Shipston, and brother-in-law Alan Shipston (Patti).. Predeceased by his parents John W. Cook and Ella Turner, and his sister Linda Moyes. He will be sadly missed by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
John loved the outdoors, and everything it entailed; fishing, hiking, ATVing, but most importantly his cottage. He kept his neighbors stocked with tomatoes from his garden and loved all flowers, plants, and animals. Cookie was a cook, he loved to bake, but he could also cook a mean roast.
Guests will be received on Thursday, October 12, 2023 between 1 – 1:45 pm. A complete memorial service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm.
