Obituary for Joanne Mary GAMSBY (Moore)

Gamsby, Joanne

It is with overwhelming sadness that the family of Joanne Gamsby announce her unexpected passing on April 4th, 2020 at University Hospital due to complications from a previous surgery.

Joanne is survived by her loving family including her husband Bill, son Ryan (deceased), daughter Melanie, sister Linda (Wayne) and sister-in-law Judy. Auntie will be deeply missed by her favourite niece Sherri (Kevin), Keela (Mitch) and children, nephew Darren (Christa), and Emily and Gracie. She will be fondly remembered by nephews Stephen (Susan) and children, Michael (Heather) and children, and many close friends.
Joanneā€™s feisty spirit will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She treasured all her friends, some of whom were lifelong, and held her friendships close to her heart.

Joanne was a strong supporter and an active volunteer of the Ingersoll 50+ Activity Centre. She was instrumental in developing friendships at the Centre and put forth tremendous amounts of energy into the creation of events. She had a genuine concern for all members who she came in contact with. Joanne had a passion for gardening, nature (especially butterflies and birds), her grand cats and wine.

Joanne was an elegant lady who has left behind an incredible legacy.

The family would like to thank the health care providers at University Hospital, Alexandra Hospital and St. Elizabeth who provided care to Joanne.

A private funeral service was held on April 6th, 2020 at the grave site at Ingersoll Rural Cemetery. A celebration of life is tentatively planned for August 15th, 2020 at the Ingersoll 50+ Activity Centre.

Joanne will be at peace because she is with her son, Ryan.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home 519-425-1600.
