Passed away surrounded by the love of his family, at the Sakura House in Woodstock, on February 5, 2018. James “Jim” Melrose Shields of Ingersoll passed away in his 90th year. Beloved husband of N. Gail (nee Duvall) Buchanan-Shields. Cherished father of Roxann Little and her husband Bill of Michigan, Pamela Glanert and her husband Doug of Pennsylvania, Tamara Joseph of Michigan, James Shields and his wife Debbie of Michigan and Kelly Bula and her husband Jim of Ingersoll. Dear step-father of Shelley Crandall and her husband Mark and Lisa Ring and her husband Bill all of Ingersoll. Loved grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Also survived by his brother Art Shields and sister Irene Goetz. Predeceased by his first wife Clara (1966) and by his second wife Violet (2007). Friends are invited to join the family at the McBeath Dynes Funeral Home, 246 Thames St. S. Ingersoll 519-425-1600 on Friday February 9, 2018 from 6-8pm.
