Obituary for Hendrikus "Hank" Stuyt

It is with great sadness we say goodbye to our 90-year-old Husband, Father, Opa and great grandfather who passed away peacefully at home.

Born in Heerhugowaard, Holland, Hank served as a corporal in the Military Police in Indonesia from 1949 to 1951. Married his sweetheart in 1958, Hetty (Verberne), immigrated to Canada, lived, and farmed most of his life in the Mossley area.

He will be tremendously missed by his loving wife and best friend of 61 years Hetty (Verberne). Loving and dedicated dad of Jacqueline, Angela, Mary-Ann Haggith (Rick), Michael (Louise), Laurie Handford (Jay), and Rick (Brenda). Proud Opa of Meghan, Amanda, Jolene, Tanya, Sara, Ryan, Melissa, Claire and great grandfather to Cecelia and Michael. He is survived by his sister Corrie Kruijer in Holland and two sisters-in-law in Holland and California. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada, Holland, and California.

Predeceased by five brothers and two sisters.

Friends will be received at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll on Monday 2:30-4:30 and 6-8 pm. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Sacred Heart Church 131 Thames Street North Ingersoll at 11am Fr. Gilbert Simard presider. Private family interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
