Peacefully on Monday December 24, 2018 at Secord Trails Care Community, Ingersoll in her 89th year. Loving and Attentive wife of 70 years to Jack Freemantle. Daughter of the late Winnifred and Teddy Blackman of St. Marys. Loving mother of Michele (Ted Gervais). Predeceased by her son Gary (1985), daughters Glenda (Scott Naisbitt) (2018), and Janis (1970). Proud grandmother to Anita (Frank Gielis), Kerri (Vinnie D ’Ambrosio), Sam Egan, and Rachel Egan. Little granmma will be missed by great grandchildren Brett Clifford, Luea, Sofia, and Mila D’Ambrosio. Helen was predeceased by her siblings Fred Blackman, Edith Scheurman, Harold Blackman, and Edith Foroler. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Jill Matsuo, Rev. Meghan Nicholls, the 3rd floor staff of Alexandra Hospital, and all the compassionate and caring staff of Secord Trails. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place later.
