Vukson Gregory James June 29, 1954-September 24, 2020
Passed away suddenly at the Brantford General Hospital.

Loving father to his daughters, Connie (Mathew) Kyle and Sara Vukson. Predeceased by his parents Nicholas (2018) and Donna Vukson (2015). Beloved brother of Paul (Celine), Sandra (Dr. Leo Vos) and John (Susan). Much loved uncle to Julianna (Dustin) Weidman, Laura (Joseph), Jonathon (Diana), Mathew Vukson Aaron Vos Jennifer (James)Rogers and Cory Vos (Maddy Pease), Caroline (Steve) Funston, Elizabeth (Scott McIntosh), Timothy and Emma Vukson. Special friend to Lillian Huang and her family. Greg will be greatly missed by his aunts and uncles and many friends and colleagues from around the world, especially Jean, Lucy, Marvin, Steve, Mike, John and Peggy, Vlad, Lee, Dr Shou, Jane, Sally, Brian, and Theresa.

Greg was born in Toronto, attended the University of Guelph and worked in the food industry for over 40 years that included Ingersoll Cheese Co., Borden’s, Kellogg’s, Dare Cookies, and Iovate. He later moved into consulting with a variety of initiatives in the food, wellness, and scientific industries.

His family was the most important thing to him in life. He wanted the best for everybody and would help at the drop of a hat. Greg would always show up for dinner, but we were so glad he came as he entertained us immensely with stories of life. When a kind word was needed, a shoulder to cry on, or just some sensible life advice, you could count on Greg. He was a great movie goer and would drag his kids, nieces, nephews, and siblings along, no matter what city they lived in. His great strength was providing emotional support for those who experienced life hardships, worries and sadness. He was always there when we needed him. Greg was a far greater part of our lives than we ever realized. He will be greatly missed.

Friends will be received at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll Tuesday 11am -1:45 pm. (Following provincial regulations, a maximum number of people will be allowed in the funeral home at one time, please be patient. Also, social distancing and facial coverings are required in the funeral home). A private family service will be held with interment to follow at Ingersoll Rural Cemetery.

John & family,
Thank you for posting the service on line. I can concur with everything that was said about Greg. Having worked with John at Campbell Soup for many years I had the good fortune to have met Greg through John. When my wife and I started our own business almost 9 years ago Greg was kind enough to come visit us in our home and pass on a lot of valuable information in how to start a business. He then continued to check in with us in the next few years to see how we were doing. A selfless mentor that greatly helped us establish our business. Thank you Greg.

May fond memories bring comfort to you and your family.

We were so sad to hear of Greg’s passing. He was a big part of my and my sisters life bc of his close connection with my parents (his first cousin) Wayne & Dianne Sowler He will be missed greatly. Myself and Jim talked to him at length at my dads funeral in early 2018 and I am glad we had that chance. I really miss all the reunions at Foldens. Christine Sowler and Jim Corless

Greg had a great heart. I bought my first car from Greg (a vastly underrated Ford Escort hatchback) and he put on four new tires and a new battery and gave it to me for practically nothing. He always had a genuine interest in how things were going; he didn't make a big deal out of himself and never took himself too seriously. He really cared about us and it always showed. He was my dad's oldest friend; he's been in our lives as long as I can remember, and I can't express how greatly he will be missed.

In honour of my uncle Greg, a kind, funny, sweet man who was best friends with his brothers and sister, traveled far and wide to always return home , respectful of his parents, loving father and worlds best uncle as he loved to proclaim. I’ll miss late night movies with him and hearing him tell the best stories at the family dinner table. His love of gravy was renown as was his love for his family. We all loved him in return.
