Giacomina Cocchetto (nee D’Ambrosi)
July 29, 1935 – August 28, 2021
Peacefully at Tillsonburg Hospital in her 87th year. Giacomina “Jackie” wife of Angelo Cocchetto who she was married to for 52 years.
Born in Treviso, Italy, Giacomina immigrated to Canada in 1958 to start a new life with Angelo in Ingersoll, Ontario. Beloved mother to Jim (Heather), Joseph, John (Wanda), Carlo (Venesa) and Stephen. Cherished grandma to Ryan, Michael, Katherine, Danielle, Jesse, Tysen and Hayden. Great grandma to Abbygail and John Jr. Survived by her sister Ernesta.
Predeceased by her siblings Antonio “Tony”, Ermanno, Tarcisio, Olivo, Cirillo, Milena and Maria.
Giacomina raised 5 boys with pride and accomplished working at Coppa Cabana then at Oxford Nursing Home for many years until retirement where she continued as a volunteer. She also enjoyed serving and volunteering at the Beachville Columbo Club and Sacred Heart Parish Hall for many occasions.
Friends will be received at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home, 246 Thames St. South, Ingersoll on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8pm and on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 11am-12pm. Guests are required to RSVP at www.mcbeathdynes.ca. A Funeral Mass will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 131 Thames St, North on Thursday at 1:00pm. Interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery to follow.
