Obituary for Gerarda Huberta PUBBEN (Janssen)

PUBBEN, Gerarda

After 96 years of life, well lived, Gerarda Pubben passed away on March 2, 2024 at Mackenzie Health Richmond Hill Hospital.

Gerarda was born on October 27, 1927 in Venray, The Netherlands. She grew up in the Netherlands, the eldest of 8 children. She fell in love and married Martin Pubben. Hand in hand, with three children in tow, they embarked on a family adventure that landed them in Ingersoll, Ontario, Canada. They purchased a farm, had an additional child, and built a wonderful life together. Gerarda was a strong woman who loved children having bore 9 children of which 4 survived. She was a kind, generous, fun loving woman who loved to bake, sew, knit, embroider, garden, visit with friends and most of all spend time with her family.

Left with memories galore, are her children Peter (Linda), Diny (Doug), MaryAnn (late John) and Joanne (Carl). Her grandchildren MacGregor (Diane), Tyler (Laura), Melissa (Ron), Tim, Kelly, Katie, Zac and her great grandchildren Mae, Lauren, Loic, Thibeau. Gerarda will also be missed by her siblings still living Johanna, Frans, Ricki, her in-laws along with numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, extended family, and friends. May she rejoice in joining her husband and siblings predeceased (Ann, Bep, Peter, Dientje).

Friends may call at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll on Wednesday 6-8 pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday March 7, 2024 at 1pm with the interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
