Obituary for Lyn Wallace
WALLACE, George Lynwood (Lyn)
On Thursday February 29th at Parkwood Hospice in London, George Lynwood (Lyn) Wallace passed away in his 85th year after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Nancy (Bennett), his cherished daughter Amber (Mark) and his beloved grandson Chase Weyers.
Predeceased by his parents George and Eleanor Wallace (Corman), his brother Bill Wallace and his sister-in-law Beth (Dickout) and nephew Keith Sparkes.
Lyn will be greatly missed by his sister Faye Johnson and husband Larry, his sister-in-law Susan Pellow (Bennett) and her husband Edward Pellow, his niece Ellen Sparkes, several nephews and his dear friends Paul and Pat Pringle.
Together with his father George and brother Bill, he owned and operated Wallace Farms Oxford Limited for over 50 years. In their retirement, Lyn and Nancy enjoyed many years at their winter home in Nokomis Florida.
The last years of his life were spent living with his favourite people and pets in Byron, where he enjoyed spending time with his treasured grandson Chase.
As per Lyn’s wishes, a private celebration of life will be held later. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Canadian Cancer society would be greatly appreciated by his family.
