Obituary for Elizabeth Grace ( Moote) HEENEY

On May 1st, 2018, in her 91st year, Elizabeth Grace Heeney (nee Moote) passed peacefully in Woodingford Lodge, Ingersoll, surrounded by her family, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Loving and devoted wife to Fred Heeney for 66 years, Elizabeth was born on May 24th, 1927, to the late Reverend Stanley and Grace Moote. She was predeceased by her brothers Robert, David, and Lloyd. Elizabeth was a wonderful mother to Ralph (Janet Whittington), Lynda (Bruce Jakeman), Kathy (Steve Boyd), and Phyllis (Paul Zdrazil), and a loving grandmother to Gemma (Bruce) Will (Anna) Mac (Rose) Hannah (Nathaniel); Christopher, Darcy; Davis (Allie) Graham, Taylor, and nine great grandchildren.
She was active in West Oxford United Church, UCW and Presbyterial, Women’s Institute and the Ingersoll Creative Arts Centre. Elizabeth was well known for her innovative and award-winning artwork. Her works can be found in private collections in Oxford County and beyond. She will be remembered for her kindness and will be missed by her family and the community.
Family and friends will be received at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll on Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 pm. and Friday from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at West Oxford United Church, Church Line, Ingersoll on Friday May 4, 2018 at 2:00 pm Reverend Liz Lemon officiating. Interment Harris Street Cemetery.
