Obituary for Ted HUNT

Ted Hunt of Ingersoll, in his 87th year, peacefully passed into the arms of the Lord on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock.

Beloved husband of Bonnie. Dear father of David of Brownsville and Susan Hunt (Colin Hutchinson) of Ingersoll. Step-father of Andrew Rae (Ann) and Rose Penner (Kurt) all of Vancouver. Sadly missed by his grandson Jim Marchant and step-grandchildren, Lucy, Ivy and Owen. Survived by his brother Gary and wife Alida of Tillsonburg. Cherished Uncle to Gary Jr., Krista, Geoff, Kerry Lee, Linda, and families.

Ted was also very fond of, and excited to have Colin's children join the family; Ryan (Lisa) and their children Mackenzie and Carson. Michael (Melanie). Heather (Cam) and their children Aidan, Averey, and Emily. Kelsey (Matt) and their son Cooper.

Ted was predeceased by his wife Joyce (Sherwood), sister-in-law Mary Anne (Sherwood), parents Bert and Helen Hunt, nephew Steven Corbin and in-laws Bill and Kay Sherwood.

Ted worked for the town of Ingersoll for 27 years retiring as the Chief Administrative Officer. A lifelong member of First Baptist Church Ingersoll; Ted was involved in all aspects of church life. On behalf of the church he organized and hosted Gospel Music in the Park every summer for 27 years. He served on many town boards and committees with pride.

Relatives and friends will be received at the McBeath -Dynes Funeral Home, 246 Thames St S., Ingersoll on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Funeral service will be conducted in First Baptist Church, Ingersoll on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 11:00am. Spring interment in Harris St. Cemetery.
