Obituary for Dorothy McLelland
“A Mom’s hug lasts long after she lets go.”
With much love and deep sorrow, the family of Dorothy Jean McLelland announces that she passed away peacefully at Secord Trails on December 1, 2022 in her 95th year.
Her family was the pride and joy of her life. She was predeceased by her husband George (1982), granddaughter Sherry McLelland (2020), three brothers and two sisters.
She leaves behind her children Darlene (Keith Campbell), Rick (Brenda), Gordon (Julie), Trudy (Mike Quinn), and Wendy (Brent Baldwin).
She was the proud grandmother of Jordan (Carly), Tracy (James), Arielle (Brad), Jenny (Micheal), Dan, Megan (Bill), Shonna (Nick), Alexandra, Bethany (Sam), and Jaime, 17 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her 3 sisters, Edna (Dyce Williamson), Rose Green, Reah Webb, her sister-in-law Joan Willsie, and stepbrother Fred Watt (Helen).
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to either the Parkinsons’ Society of Canada or Friends of the Princeton Park.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
