Obituary for Dorothy Ann HILTON (McQuarrie)

Dorothy HILTON (nee McQuarrie)
April 2, 1942 to September 19, 2020

After valiantly fighting an aggressive cancer for the past 6 weeks, it is both with sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy in her home in Ingersoll, Ontario, on Saturday, September 19, 2020, with her family by her side, and with Joy that the Lord quickly took her away from the pain to be with her saviour.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ted Hilton. She was the dear mother of their daughter Dawn (McCleave) of Wellesley, Ontario, and their son, Gord Hilton of Milton Ontario. Deeply loved by their son-in-law Andrew McCleave, their daughter-in-law, Deborah Hilton (nee Strutt), and their granddaughters Kirsten (and Tyler) Rathwell (nee McCleave) of Kitchener, Ontario, Holly McCleave of Wellesley, Tori
Hilton, Emily Hilton and Rachel Hilton all of Milton. Dorothy is also survived by her brother Donald McQuarrie, and sisters Barbara Thomas, Marion Sandeson and Greta Hard all in Nova Scotia, and Shirley Dupuis (Dave), of Barrie, Ontario. She will also be profoundly missed by her sister-in-law Gladys (McQuarrie), and her brother-in-law, Bob Hard, as well as sister-in-law, Peggy Bendell (Ted) and brother-in-law Bruce MacKinnon (Carol), plus many
nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.

Relatives and friends may call at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home, 246 Thames St. S.,Ingersoll, Ontario, on Wednesday, September 23rd between 6:00pm and 8:00pm, and on Thursday, September 24th, between 9:30am and 10:45am. Her funeral service will be held at the funeral home on September 24th at 11:00am. Cremation to follow with a grave-site service, on a later date, in the Chesterfield Cemetery, Bright, Ontario.

(Following provincial regulations a maximum number of people will be allowed in the funeral home at one time, please be patient. Also social distancing and facial coverings are required in the funeral home.)
