Peacefully at Alexandra Hospital in Ingersoll on Friday, April 7, 2017, David ROY Mead, in his 96th year. Predeceased by his loving wife Mary (2007) and daughter Julia (2015). Survived by his son Ernest Mead and his wife Eva of Brantford and his son-in-law John Twelves of Hanover. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Elaine Urbanowicz and her husband Jason, Eileen Mead, Emily Hanly and her husband Corey and Justin Twelves and his wife Kelly. Will be greatly missed by his cherished great-grandchildren Zoe, Falyn, Lexi, Bria, Ezra and Michelle.
Roy worked in Ingersoll for many years in the offices at the Morrow Screw and Nut Company and the Ingersoll Machine and Tool Company. He was a veteran of WWII and served overseas with 437 Transport Squadron of the RCAF in England, Belgium and Germany.
Friends will be received at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home, 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 12-1pm with the funeral service at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
