Innes, David McDonald “Sparky” Peacefully, at Maple Manor Nursing Home on September 14, 2020, in his 66h year. Loving father of Alyssa Hodgson (Stephen), Krista Innes, Derek Innes (Michelle). Proud Papa of Avery, Parker, Jax, Alexus, Rachel & Karlie

David is survived by his brothers and sisters Bonnie Minard (Don), Mark Innes, Larry Innes (Kathy) and Robyn James. David was predeceased by his brother Kevin Innes, and his parents, Joyce (McDonald) Innes & Ronald Innes,

David lived his entire life in Ingersoll, many of those years beside his best friend, Randy. He cherished his family, was a devoted fan of the Oakland Raiders football team and loved MOPAR racing, live music and finding treasures at auctions.

David’s family wishes to thank the staff at Maple Manor Nursing Home and Ingersoll Service for Seniors for their care and compassion for David. Also, thanks to our family and friends for their support during his long battle with Alzheimer’s.

Cremation has taken place and in keeping with David’s wishes there will be no funeral. Private interment will follow at North Embro Cemetery later. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer Society of Ontario or the Alexandra Hospital Foundation.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home 246 Thames Street South Ingersoll, 519-425-1600.

Growing up in Ingersoll, Ron and Joyce Innes lived down from my parents on Raglan Street. Bonnie and I were best friends and I would often spend the night at her house. I remember David; skinny, funny and and always peeking in on Bonnie and I. Hard to believe he'd grow up, marry and have a wonderful daughter, Alyssa, that would marry my son Stephen and become family. Small world. Peter and I are sorry for your loss and send our condolences to all the family.

In fond memory of David. It would be nice if the tree could be an apple as they were very much a part of our lives growing up on Raglan Street. RIP

Saddened to learn of David's passing but at least pleased that I got to see him a few years ago at Bonnie's birthday party. Growing up across the street, I have many good memories of him even though he was several years older and didn't really need to bother with the kid across the street. I even remember him sticking up for me at least once in the "mean schoolyard" at Princess Elizabeth public school. That was the kind of guy that he was. My condolences to Bonnie, Mark, Larry, Robyn and their families.

We send our heartfelt condolences to Alyssa, Krista, Derek and the family members. We are so sorry for your loss. Cousins are always important and while I was growing up, I spent a few summers in Ingersoll. As we were all about the same age, there was lots of swimming, playing and bbqs on Raglan Street. Rest In Peace, Dave.
