Obituary for Charles Gordon WRIGHT

Charles Gordon Wright passed away at home on Thursday, November 18, 2021 after a full and active life. Loving husband of Mary (nee Sanderson) for over 63 years. He is also survived by his children Cynthia Sawyez (Peter), Terry Wright (Angela), Steven Wright (Sue Jones), and Kevin Wright (Grace Daliva). Proud grandfather of Melissa Wright, Nicole Miedema (Kenny), Brenden, Darcy, Nicholas, Jennifer and Alexis Wright. Survived by brothers Earl Nutt (Debbie), and Allan Nutt (Barb), and sister Alice Travis (Steven).

Charlie was born in Howick Township, Huron County in 1932. At a young age he moved with his mother to London. His early education was in a one room schoolhouse in Birr and enjoyed living on a farm in the area. For many years he worked for George Beck Ltd. in Ingersoll. In 1961 Charles and Mary purchased a farm in Oxford County and began family farming-loving every minute of the work involved in a dairy operation. Charlie was an active member of Trinity United Church and for many years served as a member of Presbytery. Charlie loved travelling and enjoyed educational trips to many countries. He worked hard, enjoyed life and was an eternal optimist.

Charlie has been cremated and a memorial service is to be held at Trinity United Church, 118 Church St., Ingersoll at 11am on Monday, November 22, 2021 with visitation from 10 to 11am. Guests are required to RSVP for both the visitation and service under Charles’ Service Details at www.mcbeathdynes.ca. Proof of vaccination and identification will be kindly requested prior to entry.
