Obituary for Ray Nancekivell

NANCEKIVELL, Cecil Ray

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ray Nancekivell, surrounded by his family, at the Woodstock Hospital on Monday July 5, 2021 at the age of 71.

Ray was loved and will be dearly missed by his wife of 48 years Judy (Hodgins). Loving father and proud Papa of Greg (Amanda) Nancekivell and their children Olivia and Nathanial, and Tina (Ben) Daniel and their children Miranda, Sophie, and Wesley. Brother to Lew (Nancy), Jim (Karen), Reuben (Violet). Brother-in-law to Terry McGowan, Susanne Robson, Dianne Hodgins, Shirley Nancekivell and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Stanley (1970), Evelyn (2017) and his brother Russell (2016).

Ray was a dedicated employee at IMT for 35+ years and enjoyed woodworking and golf during his retirement. He will always be remembered for his love of walking through the community of Mt. Elgin.

The family will welcome friends at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home, 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll Thursday 3-5 and 7-9 pm. Those wishing to attend are required to RSVP by going on to Ray’s memorial on the funeral home website. Due to restrictions people are to remain in their vehicles until their appointed time. Face masks and social distancing required. A Private family service will be held on Friday with Pastor Steve Amorin officiating.

Memorial donations in Ray’s memory to First Baptist Church Tillsonburg, or Canadian Cancer Society (Pancreatic) would be appreciated.
