In his 68th year, beloved father of two, Barrington (Barry) Calvin Richards passed away in his home.
Barry was born in Kingston, Jamaica in 1951. In his youth he moved to Canada, where he completed his education in architecture at Ryerson University. Shortly after graduation, he married Glenna Richards (Monteith) and started a family.
Over the years, work took Barry across Canada, working in the Yukon, British Columbia and Alberta. Barry was a sports and music enthusiast and an avid golfer, a love that he shared and passed on to his boys. It was only weeks ago that Barry decided to move back across the country to be closer to his sons and their families.
Barry was the loving father of Quincy (Kristy) and Landon (Natasha) and adored grandfather of Aaliyah-Ryann, Gwendolyn, and Ciara. He was predeceased by his step father Simeon Richards, and survived by his mother Gwen Richards.
Arrangements entrusted to the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home, 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll. A gathering will take place at the funeral home on Saturday November 16, 2019 from 3pm-4pm. A charitable donation can be made in Barry's name to the Ryan Landon Memorial Fund at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County.
