Obituary for Teun DeBeer

DeBeer, Antonius “Teun”
November 6, 1978 – November 7, 2021

One day after his 43rd birthday, Teun DeBeer passed away peacefully at Sakura house in Woodstock. That morning, instead of turning on the milking parlour at 5 am like he did for so many years, he left this world to be free of pain. For over two years, Teun made incredible progress after a horrific accident in 2019 almost took his life. Teun had a very strong mindset and never gave up, however, his body was unable to keep up with him.

Teun will be extremely missed by his wife Sylvia, his children Jorja, Ty and Garcia. He leaves behind his dad Ben, his brothers Ben (Heidi) and Arjan (Gea), Mother-in-law Riek and sister-in-law Mariëlla (Wout). Also dearly missed by his nieces and nephews Ryan, Felicia, Cheyenne, Kevin, Dylan, and Dustin, Nikky and Sylvie. Predeceased by his mom Elly (2021) and father-in-law Abel (2017). Teun will also be dearly missed by many many friends.

Teun was born in Brabant, the Netherlands in 1978. He and Sylvia met in Dronten at the CAH university and moved with Teun's family to Ingersoll, Ontario, Canada in 1999. Teun was a dairy farmer in his heart and after a major building project in 2018, he still had lots of plans for the future. He was passionate about the dairy industry and loved being involved in the Oxford Dairy Committee. Teun was also a member of the Woodstock Dutch theatre group where he was either on stage or helping out behind the scenes. Teun loved to see Ty and Garcia play hockey and watch Jorja at riding. On his days off he loved to take out the boat to as many different places as possible, Kawartha lakes, Toronto, Lake Erie, or Lake Huron, however, the last one was one of his favorites.

His journey here on earth has been cut way too short and we are all devastated but we know he is always near, in our hearts, watching over us and guiding us.

Friends will be received at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home, 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll, Ontario on Friday November 12, 2021 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Masks and social distancing required.

A celebration of life will follow at a later date.

In Teun's memory, donations to the Sakura House in Woodstock would be greatly appreciated.
