Obituary for Tony OLSEN
Anthony “Tony” Joseph Olsen, born on October 24, 1954 in Fredericton NB, passed away at London Health Sciences Centre in Ontario on Sunday, September 17th, 2023. Tony was diagnosed with Mesothelioma earlier in the year and succumbed to complications associated with the disease.
He is survived by his three children Anthony, Jennifer and Kyle; his brother Carl, three sisters, Gertrude (Sue), Pamela, and Patricia; his nieces, nephews, and friends all across Canada. Tony was predeceased by his parents Carl and Yolanda, sister Ruth, and niece Michelle.
He travelled much of the country while working as a Leak Repair Specialist; “He’d been everywhere man”. He always loved exploring and learning wherever he went. Tony lived a full life and found joy in the simple thing’s life had to offer. He was an avid football fan, specifically the CFL; which he would extol the virtues of, to anyone who would listen. Tony loved boating and reminiscing about classic cars. His gruff demeanor would always be followed by a genuine, heartfelt smile.
At this time there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to a charity of your choice, and make a toast to Tony while celebrating his life.”
