PALMER, Alvin W. – Peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on Saturday September 30, 2017. Alvin Walter Palmer of Ingersoll passed away at the age of 91 years. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Bolohan) Palmer for nearly 69 years. Cherished father of Shirley Ann (John) Stewart, David (Deb) Palmer, Rick Palmer, Chris (Linda) Palmer, James (Jenny) Palmer, Paul (Andrea) Palmer and Debbie (Jean Paul) Griffore. Dear grandfather of Doug (Mandi), Sandy, Jennifer (Terry), Shannon (Toivo), Nicole (Darren), Kelly (Dillon), Bradley, Jacob (Molly), Justin, Adriana, Tiffany (Shawn), Ashley (Jim), Erin, Gregory, Matthew, Lindsay (Brett) and Josh. Loved great-grandfather of Ella, Jasmine, Kyle, Samantha, Jessica, Logan, Levi, Reed, Lane, Ophelia, Bennett, Evan, Kaitlyn, Joshua, Carlee, Corey, Noah, Bryton, Kayla, Cadance, Maddux, Brooklyn and Claire. Predeceased by his grandson Jason, as well as his siblings Stanley, Allan and Elsie. Alvin grew up spending most of his life in the Tilbury area where he enjoyed his career as carpenter. A private family gathering will be held at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll.
